Assassin's Creed Mirage achieves a tighter scope while expanding its

During Ubisoft Forward 2023, a hands-off demo of Assassin's Creed Mirage was showcased, reaffirming the studio's commitment to its initial promise. The game, which was announced last year, emphasizes a return to the beloved elements of older AC titles, offering a compact and focused stealth-driven open-world action adventure experience. Ubisoft's progress so far indicates that they are successfully delivering on their vision

Assassin's Creed Mirage is a game that manages to be both tighter in scope and broader in appeal, according to a preview by Joe Donnelly published about 15 hours ago. Despite being smaller in scale compared to previous Assassin's Creed games, Mirage already feels like a significant release.

When Assassin's Creed Mirage was initially revealed, Ubisoft emphasized its homage to the earlier AC games. The promise was a more focused and concise stealth-driven open-world action adventure. After witnessing a hands-off demo prior to Ubisoft Forward 2023, it is evident that the studio is well on track to deliver on that promise.

It is important to note that those concerned about the next AC game being a watered-down version of the series need not worry. Assassin's Creed Mirage is being developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux, a core team comprising over 400 individuals. With the assistance of 11 other Ubisoft studios worldwide, the total number of people working on the game surpasses 500. Therefore, despite its smaller scope, Assassin's Creed Mirage remains just as ambitious as its predecessors.

Ubisoft Bordeaux aims to create a game that is "both easy to learn and easy to master," as stated by creative director Stephane Boudon. This approach ensures that Assassin's Creed Mirage will not only cater to long-time fans but also appeal to a wider audience.
